Stitched Ice Cream

I have been looking for a challenge lately with my paper crafting.  After having such a long hiatus from it, I didn’t want to just be doing the same old thing.  The journaling cards are a nice change and have been very helpful to my scrapbooking, but I wanted to make some regular cards too.  I have been very inspired by some of the stitching that my friend Vicki does on her cards, but I do not like to machine sew at all.  I do however, love to sew things by hand, so I thought about some supplies I had and how I could make it all work.  Here is the result:

Supplies: Yum rubber stamp (Pink Cat Studio), ice cream cone iron on transfer, DMC Pearl Cotton, Bazzill Cardstock, DCWV Glitter Stack, piercing tool and mat, embroidery needle

I have a book that I bought several years ago that has 1,000 iron on transfers.  I used one of them as my piercing pattern and then embroidered the outline.  This was a lot of fun and DEFINITELY a crafty delight!  I can’t wait to make more of these!! 🙂
