Snake Revisited

I had a request to post instructions for this snake that I made a couple of months ago.  The instructions are below and I hope they are pretty straightforward.  This definitely was a very easy project that looks great using an Ombre or variegated yarn.  Any questions can be posted in the comments and I will answer them there. 🙂

Supplies:  Knifty Knitter Flower Loom, Bernat Softee Chunky Yarn (use 2 strands as one), small amount of red yarn, polyfil
Stitch used:  Flat Stitch, Knit Stitch or U-stitch (Videos for all 3 stitches found here.)

Instructions:  Cast on to the flower loom using the e-wrap method.  After several inches, gather close the end of the snake that is coming through the bottom of the loom.  Knit to desired length (mine is 33 inches) and stuff with polyfil every few inches or so.  Use gather bind off, but attach safety eyes and stuff with additional polyfil before completely closing.  Using red yarn, make i-cord about 1-2 inches long.  Bind off.  Sew to end of snake where you gather closed.

Edited to add:  Since the pegs in the flower loom are removable, I glued them in so I could use it for knitting projects.  I don’t use my flower loom for making flowers.
